Char's (Allegro Chardonnay) Story

Char and her baby arrived unexpectedly at my barn one morning in Sept of 2013. She was skinny, had bad feet, and really hadn't been work with much.

Her story is this: she was sold as a yearling in 97' those people kept her until May of 2012 where she was ran through the loose horse sale as HIP 1066. She was purchased at the sale by the owners that gave her (and Baby Berry) to my vet in Sept 2013. She is a registered Quarter Horse with some pretty good blood lines. Her Dam's side is very heavily speed breed, so she is Appendix bred.

By day two of them being at the barn her papers where hanging up on the board which included her transfer papers signed by the previous owner. My vet had given her to my trainer who in turn decided to make her a community barn horse because she didn't have time to work with her. So flash forward a few weeks and we decide we will take her. My partner and I had been the only ones working with her and baby. We were starting to earn her trust and realizing how nice of a mare she is. So we came up with a plan ( here's hoping plan works out, lol ) to saddle train her and make her into a nice pleasure horse. Of course we have to get through some small details before the saddle work can begin, like teaching her to let us handle her feet. 17 years and she hasn't ever had her feet worked on!  We have a long road a head of us. Even if things don't work out as planned she will stay with our family for the rest of her life. From here forward she will always know love and care.  Join us for our journey!
